We are Voulhire: A New Arrival under Great Skies by Matthew Tysz begins with the story of the Lands of Princes, where the king turned his sons against each other because of greed for power. The main character, Galen Bray, grows up suffering in the Land of the Prince. But fortune smiled on Galen when his dying uncle left all his properties to him in Magnum Caelum, a town in Voulhire. In Voulhire, King Wilhelm appoints Eldus Alderman to be Lord over Hillport and restore it to its former splendor and glory. In a few months, Hillport had witnessed the deaths of two of its lords in a devastating situation that left the citizens in shock. Meldorath, the king's former close friend, is trying to escape captivity to carry out his evil plans on Voulhire. Will Galen find the long-desired peace in this lovely town, or is there more to it than meets the eye? Will Lord Eldus be able to restore Hillport to its former glory? Will Meldorath escape captivity and unleash his terror on Voulhire?

I liked how the author described the characters and happenings in the book. I could relate well to the characters and define the kind of person they are from the author's description. I was also able to recall a vivid image of the places, events, and happenings in the book effortlessly. It was as if the events were unfolding before me. Another thing that amazed me was the author's ability to switch from one plot to another without breaking the flow and making it confusing. Instead, it made me eager to discover and learn more about each of them.

I enjoyed the book and didn't find anything significant to dislike about it. I was amused by the part where there were dancing soldiers. I also liked that the book was written in simple language. However, I feel this book should have a prominent female character, and the author should have added more female characters to the book.

I find this book enjoyable and captivating, and I rate it 4 out of 4 stars. The plot was enjoyable and captivating. The book was exceptionally well-edited, as I found no errors while reading it. I also like how the author made magic and physics seem interwoven. I look forward to reading the other books in the series.

I recommend this book to people who love fantasy, adventure, magic, suspense, and action books. It is an interesting and promising read. It's not suitable for children because it contains profanity.
