While in law school, the unnamed protagonist and one of his friends, Sam, made plans to travel the world. They would travel to various places, sample the local cuisine, and lead an active lifestyle outdoors. All parts of their daily lives, including phone calls and emails, would be forbidden. But these plans would soon be forgotten as they came face-to-face with the drudgery of life after school.

Years later, as the main character was suffering through his boring job, Sam called and brought up their shared ambition of traveling. As soon as the main character gave his consent, they set out on their first vacation to Harper's Pass in New Zealand. After the success of this first vacation, they decided to make it an annual tradition. They also enlisted Alec and Daniel, two of their other friends. The trips would eventually become more significant for them as they each sought ways to escape the harsh reality of their daily lives.

The author, Eytan Uliel, humorously describes the adventures of these four men, which is one of the things I loved most about Man Mission. Throughout the entire reading of this book, I couldn't stop laughing. I especially loved the humor and banter that flowed so effortlessly between these four friends. Despite the humor in the book, it nevertheless managed to offer significant insights into what living as an adult might entail. The protagonist's struggles to maintain a balance between his social, marital, and professional lives really touched me.

I liked that this was not a story about a main character with perfect looks and the perfect life, but rather about four grown men dealing with the struggles of life. It makes their characters come across as genuine. I really loved them, especially the protagonist. His actions often border on the ridiculous, but they never fail to have me smiling. I love that even with his faults and failings, he still tries to be a stand-up guy. The character development in this book was nothing short of amazing. I felt a genuine kinship with the protagonist of the story, and I could relate to his struggles.

This book was perfect for me in every way. I have no complaints. Reading it, I didn't notice any mistakes, so I'd say it was properly edited. For how interesting it was to read, I would give it a rating of 4 out of 4 stars, and I would recommend it to anyone who has a case of wanderlust—this would be the perfect book for them.
