Unchecked Capitalism is Killing Us by Earl B. Rynerson is an interesting probe into the welfare and the business atmosphere in America. The author, in what could be a show of annoyance, clearly exposes the rot and abnormalities in the system which many Americans have found to be normal. The author begins the book with his background and upbringing till the stage where his eyes became opened and he experienced a lot of this 'rot'. Taxation, for instance, is the most popular of these problems. Interestingly, these top industries that should be paying more are getting richer and are being given the majestic treatment despite their failure to fulfill their obligations. It is even more surprising the caliber of people bearing the tax burden for them. Sadly, struggling small-scale businesses suffer even as they rise to their obligations. This has been going on and on for years and unfortunately, this is not limited to taxation alone. The author also explains with a lot of proof and details how much these companies influence the political atmosphere of the country. Who are those behind these manipulations and influences? What could be the solution to these problems?

Unchecked Capitalism is Killing Us is an interesting book, capable of inducing deep and critical thinking. The author is a strategic thinker; he backed up the details in this book with valid proof, and I commend him for that. I was particularly impressed with how the author didn't just dwell on a single industry but carefully analyzed and dissected his claims across various industries ranging from the banking industry, the pharmaceutical industry, the oil and gas industry, and others. This way, the readers will get to relate and understand what the author is trying to pass across irrespective of which industry they belong to or are working for.

Unchecked Capitalism is Killing Us is well written. The author backed up his claims with facts and proof. He even highlighted some past events to drive home his points. Therefore, I can not think of any aspect of the book I do not like.

I will rate the book 4 out of 4 stars. Errors are rare in the book which is a testament to the fact that the book was well-proofread and properly edited. The details in the book were also well backed up with proven points.

I would recommend Unchecked Capitalism is Killing Us to business owners, aspiring entrepreneurs, and readers interested in America's socio-political issues and how to correct the wrongs.
