Every single income earner needs a good retirement plan and Reconfigurement by E. Alan Fleischauer is a book that outlines, guides and teaches the readers on the best way to living a great life as a retiree. The author lists out the policies concerning living a great retired life. He also talks about the benefits that any person who follows a good retirement would get.  Reconfigurement also covers topics from the following areas; career testing, investing, life protection, and affordable health insurance, 401K or IRA, and social security services.

As a book that is focused on planning for our future selves, Reconfigurement was an enjoyable read. I expected a book filled with charts and data with a very serious tone. It had the charts, but it also had a light tone. The first few chapters in this book emphasize the importance of planning a retirement. It also talks about the best techniques, policies, and procedures in financial planning. The author talks about which program would be best for you depending on your career, physical fitness or, sometimes, disabilities. If you have always wondered about which financial program would be best for you or if you need a life or health insurance, then read this book. It’s a treasure trove of valuable information.

What I loved most about this book was the author’s writing style. It was incredibly easy to follow and understand. You could easily get what the author was trying to say, even if you are not well verse you in the business community. The other thing I loved in this book was the inclusion of charts, most of which were taken from researches made by the American College of Financial Services.

There was absolutely nothing I did not like in this book. The author’s sense of humour, the easy-to-understand charts, the advice given to the retirees, and the retired and also the research data where are all very well written. The editor did an amazing job in this series, as I did not find any errors while reading.

Reconfigurement is a must-read book for any income earner in their 40s and 50s. This book was easy to understand, and it covered most areas on having a successful retirement. I would rate this book four out of four stars. I gave it 4 stars because I found zero errors while reading this book. It was also very informative.

I would recommend this book to any income earner looking to have a great retirement or to any person who wants to know more about the different financial policies and retirement plans. It is also a must read for the already retired as it also talks about ways to create a stable income during your retired years.
