Forced by teenage bad choices to change her identity, Victoria Pierce has to create a new life for herself because her father dies while she is in police custody. Her first setback comes from her adoptive parents, who want to make sure she does not leave their farm as she provides a free source of labor and income to the state. She is able to orchestrate an escape from her adoptive home, but she ends up being forced to join the military in exchange for being arrested for drug possession. She does not like the harsh military discipline, but her determination to succeed does not allow her to quit. Her perseverance has resulted in her becoming the first woman to receive the military academy's highest honor. Through her charm and hard work, she gains a promotion that brings her into contact with Samuel, a senator who has his eye on the presidency, and they start an affair. Years later, Samuel is forced to choose Victoria to be his vice president in order to win the elections. Samuel later gets sick, and Victoria becomes the acting president. But her criminal past is catching up with her; will she be able to maneuver this challenge?

The author has done a great job of developing conflicts that hold the reader’s attention from the first page and has done an even better job of brilliantly resolving those conflicts. The characters are also well-developed and relatable to the reader. I also found the story to be unique. The plot is coherent, and the story is interesting. The author has done a spectacular job editing this book; hence, it contains no errors.

There was nothing that I did not like about this book. The author has done an excellent job of writing this book.

I rate Madam Vice President by Julian Mann a 4 out of 4. This rating can be justified by the fact that the story is original and interesting to read. The story has been well-developed, and all the conflicts that are of interest to the reader are brilliantly resolved. The relatable and realistic characters also contribute to this rating.

I would recommend this book to all adult political drama lovers. Instances of adult language may make this book unsuitable for younger readers. The book is well written and easy to follow, which might make it suitable for a wide range of book lovers in addition to political drama book lovers.
