With Reconfigurement, E. Alan Fleischauer presents all the opportunities available to everyone to better plan their retirement. It describes all the tools, indexes and techniques available to better manage this post-work period, from contributions to retirement and health funds, to investment funds. Although a seemingly trivial and usual subject, E. Alan Fleischauer highlights all the details known or unknown to the public to better understand all the issues, in a very professional way.

Retirement reconfigurement and planning is a serious subject, yet the author treats it with lightness, panache and a lot of humour, not allowing the average reader to get bored while reading a book on finance. It breaks all preconceived notions about the current system and provides clear and specific answers to the questions we all have. It’s a good-written and well-edited book.

No major flaw to note about this book, except that the book would have been more concise as the author himself wishes without the jokes he has sown as the pages go by. It is refreshing but lengthening the reading, in contradiction with its desire to offer an informative but short book.

I give this book a rating of 4 out of 5 because I find in it an essential tool to prepare for old age and not only for retirement. The book is full of complete, helpful and pertinent information. The author violates the traditional codes relating to retirement and even occupancy to open the window on a new vision and new opportunities.

I recommend this book to many people: young academics, workers; it is never too early to plan for the future; investors, retirees, and even financial advisors; it could be a guide for them to meet their clients' expectations. This book is even suitable for unemployed people or employees looking for a career or occupational retraining.
