A thirteen-year-old girl who had been abandoned knocks on Tom Olsen's door as he is about to leave with his Native American friends to visit his grandfather's grave in the remote Olympic Peninsula of Washington State. It is a stormy night in May.The young girl introduces herself as Sarah Cooley and says that Tom is her granddad. She informs Tom that he resides near the end of the world. She only sees a wilderness covered in drips, big trees, wind, and rain. Tom is surprised because all he sees is trouble. Tom is aware that he should postpone the trip and deal with Sarah, but he grudgingly agrees when his friends recommend doing so in the hopes that Sarah will learn some much-needed lessons about character, responsibility, and grit on the trip.

I was immediately drawn in by Sheldon's writing style as I was reading the book. how it takes you in like a breeze as you're walking down a trail. I thought back to the books I had read as a child with similar plots and stories, and how wonderful it was to be able to lose myself once more in a book. The most significant feature of all was that reading this book made me enjoy reading again. There aren't many novels that I read as an adult and genuinely like, but this one kept me going because I loved learning about nature and geology while doing so, as well as becoming sucked into the telling of Native American ancestor stories.

So far, this book has truly captured my interest. It's a very interesting book, in my opinion. I enjoy all of the story's characters. A short-faced bear with a 40 mph top speed and a meat-eater were two things I learned about. Approximately 12,000 years ago, at the conclusion of the Ice Age, this species of bear perished. To learn this, I was captivated. When Sarah sketched one, she imagined seeing one of these Bears.

I give Strong Heart a 5 out of 5 score. I am very excited to explore this story because I love venturing into uncharted mental and experiential realms. I've never read anything like that before, but it was really fascinating. Sheldon is a talented storyteller, and the love he has for people and the earth is abundantly clear throughout the book's pages. Additionally, the book underwent expert editing, which improved reader immersion.

I advise anyone who plans to read this book to be informed that about ten to twenty of the chapters are written in a geological and nonfiction style; they do not read like fiction and instead greatly aid in educating the reader on actual problems with the ecology, etc.
