The Book Thief, why do you love this book?

Post by madison121 »

The book thief is one of my all time favourite book, with a captivating and utterly unique perspective from death itself we are able to be with him as he follows a young girl through her life in Nazi Germany and all the challenges and risks she faces in this new world.
I think the part of the book which I loved the most was the perspective the book was from, I find death to be such an amazing character and having his perspective of both his job and the effect of a world in chaos and destruction has on him. The idea that such an abstract being clings to the hope of this child as she struggles through what is thrown at her with the aid of books.
So my question to you is what aspect of this book captured you?
