Review of We are Voulhire: A New Arrival under Great Skies
The science fiction book We are Voulhire: A New Arrival under Great Skies by Matthew Tysz is an intriguing piece that explores social issues. Galen Bray was a young lad who grew up in the land of princes. There was an unending civil war going on in the land of princes, and the deaths of the native humans were a common occurrence in the land. Due to the suffering and frustration in the land of princes, Galen Bray made up his mind to escape from his native land. an adventure that would turn out to be the best thing he had ever done in his life.
Galen Bray eventually escaped; he left the land of princes and ventured on a journey that lasted for about a week to a place known as Magnum Caelum in another land called Voulhire. Upon his arrival in Magnum Caelum, he was received by Malcolm, the mayor of the harbor, and Artie, the harbor master. An inheritance belonging to his dead uncle was transferred to Galen upon his arrival as well. While in Voulhire, Galen was determined not just to discover the people of Voulhire but also to discover himself. Read this book to find out more.
One of the many things I admire about this book is its arrangement. Clearly, the book's author put a lot of effort into it. What might happen to a country as a result of a civil war was vividly described in the book using words. I also noticed how direct the storyline was to prevent boredom and ensure continuity while reading. Part of the positive aspects of this book is the way the author introduces each character, making it easier for every reader to understand the role played by each one. I must also add that the display of courage and determination by Galen, the main character of the book, was captivating and could serve as a source of encouragement to many.
Aside from the fact that I was not entirely satisfied with the concluding part of the book, I did not find any other negative aspect of this book. I also did not find any typographical or grammatical errors, which shows that the book was professionally edited. I would rate this book 5 out of 5 stars because the negative aspect I noticed does not justify a lesser rating.
There are many disadvantages attached to a war, such as multiple deaths and starvation. Leaders would find this book a luxury. This book is recommended mainly to teenagers and young adults. They would learn how important it is to always be hopeful, regardless of their present condition. Readers interested in self-discovery should also read this book.
