Matthew Tysz, a writer who was born and raised on Long Island more than 50 years ago, is the author of several heartwarming novels, including We Are Voulhire: A New Arrival Under Great Skies. This book, like most of them, is driven by decisions that are made after a psychotic episode. This book emphasizes the consequences of political instability through the eyes of Galen Bray. Both courageous and cowardly soldiers are besieged by adversaries who wish to depose Orlin, the ruler of Hillport.

The same section reveals that Meldorath, King Wilhelm's longtime friend, is responsible for the attack on Hillport and takes over as its new ruler. The story's protagonist, Galen Bray, comes from the Lands of Princes. The second story in the book is titled "The Emperor of Lullabies." The story is told by Galen Bray. He describes how the emperor thwarted his son's attempts to dethrone him. His strategy was successful since his sons' civil war broke out within two years.

I found it hard to believe that this was just a made-up narrative because it was so well-written. It appeared to be an account of actual events thanks to the author's skillful writing. I carefully examined the map that was presented in this book's introduction before beginning to read the novel. When relating the locations the author referenced in the novel, the map was incredibly enlightening and useful. For instance, I was able to figure out how far Galen Bray was traveling from the Lands of Princes to the Voulhire.

In addition to the author's excellent writing, the dialogue added to the story's appeal and intrigue. While crafting this story, the author incorporated both first-person and third-person perspectives. The utilization of dialogue and both viewpoints, which makes the story enjoyable just as it did this one, is what I love the most. To say that this novel had elements that I didn't like would be a lie. Everything about this book was appealing to me. The characters were also well-developed, and several of them are introduced in the first few pages.

I awarded this book a rating of 5 out of 5 stars. As was already noted, the writing was superb. Furthermore, as previously stated, the book was perfect and delightful, and the writing was superb. Additionally, the book was perfect and delightful. The story flowed because of the plot, which was also developed properly. Because the novel was divided into short chunks, reading it in order was even easier. Galen Bray was the character I loved the most. He had the sociability, intelligence, and adaptability to handle any circumstance. Also, to my liking, was Eldus Alderman. He embodied the ideal of a visionary leader. My least favorite character was Meldorath, who deposed Orlin. He was judgmental and a hasty decision-maker after careful consideration.

Historical fiction readers would enjoy reading this novel. Therefore, I would recommend it to them. The flawless nature of this book made me conclude that it was exceptionally edited. The cover was also stunning. After reading this book, I’m determined to find the rest of the books in this series and read them.
