Review of Reconfigurement
[Following is a volunteer review of "Reconfigurement" by E. Alan Fleischauer.]
E.Alan Fleischauer is a financial advisor with working experience of more than twenty years.He therefore shares financial insights and guidelines in his book titled Reconfigurement.His main agenda in this book is to give advice on planning ahead for retirement.According to Alan,he terms reconfiguring to be a turning point in life.Reconfigurement is based on a number of issues which includes social security ,assessments,life insurance and income which is the main factor.The author goes further to emphasize the need of budgeting.The book illustrates various income protection plans which are vital to protect our biggest assets as we age heading into retirement.
The choice of words used in the book; I must say is excellent.The author has mostly used common words that are conversant with any individual at any level.No hard vocabularies that would have otherwise left me floating or in search of the meaning of a word in the dictionary.Information presented in the whole book is well detailed and looks very authentic without traces of unanswered questions.Alan has represented his knowledge in the best way possible in text form such that I feel like I have consulted him one on one.The information seems unfiltered and first hand.Once a point is mentioned,he ensures that he has exhausted it maximumly giving out all the related information in the field .Futhermore the manner in which ideas have been outlined through out the plot is exceptionally fantastic.They are presented in a logical sequence without mixing them up.This has brought seamless flow in the whole book.Physical appearance of the book has really made me love it from when I read the first page.The font used throughout the book is very appealing and deciding to edit some parts using different features and graphics has given the book a classic tinge .It really makes sense as important points have been written in bold and others in various fonts therefore enhancing emphasis and easy tracing of key information.Top notch editing skills have been employed in publishing the book since I personally have not encountered either grammatical or spelling errors.Alan must have been very wise in including real life stories and examples while explaining his ideas and facts.This has brought out sense in whatever he discusses in the book and kind of brings out a moral lesson which we can all learn from as readers.It has also made the narration quite interesting since it breaks the monotony of being fed in pure information only,that could have otherwise been flat and boring.
However , the author has used initialization and in few instances some initials and abbreviations have not been outlined in full.This has left me puzzled in some cases as I try to figure out the full meaning of some initials used in the book.It gave me a hard time trying to find out the intials in full since I was forced to stop reading first and carry out research hence affecting my reading rythm.
I rate this book a five out of five stars.Alan has brought out financial details that I think are important for a person to live a successful life.He has outlined things that a large number of people don't know and there's no other place you could get such financial information all packed in one place just for you to access at any time while at any place.The book is comprehensively detailed on matters finance and at the same time covers few pages that are managable to read even in few hours.An easy reference with simple concepts and advices to understand and follow.
I would highly recommend this book to young adults specifically who have just completed their tertiary education and landed job opportunities.This will be a very legitimate guide to any first time employee that will enable him or her learn how to manage finances and survive with whatever wages one earns .It shares wisdom on how to live a stress free life financially at the same time as one prepares him or herself for retirement stage.From scratch the individual will learn early enough on how to manage personal finances without making blunders .This later will become a habit once used to it ,thus it avoids financial related problems due to lack of knowledge and making of poor decisions.
