Fall

I look up
And all I see are trees
with the sun shining through the leaves

I see a man
who looks at the same trees
and I wonder what he sees

The trees shed
And I watch in wonder
As they will never look the same

And I wait
Silently hoping
But I know it is all in vain

Now the sun sets
And I must get going
Because it it starting to get colder

Tomorrow I will wake
Knowing different trees await
Yet I will be the same, but older
