Forty-eight-years old Frank is stuck with the panic of growing older. He continually detests his physique and gradually begins to lose his wife's and children's respect. His melancholy and desperation for normalcy in his home and life attract a 'spiritual' group known as the Halcyon Exclusive Club. His life is set to take another turn. How good or dangerous would this turn be? Would he love the outcome of what is about to hit his life at 3:33 am? Find out for yourself in Mark Towse's book, 3:33

This is more like an escapist story. Frank tries to run far away from the realities of life. He neither does drugs, smokes, nor takes to drinking to alleviate his plight, but something else comes for his soul. It could be something exclusive, barbaric, and creepy. The plight of Frank opens my eyes to the truth that living one's dream does not necessarily spell fulfillment in one's life. Most times, having the good things of life in their right measures and proportions may not fill the vacuum of unfulfillment in our souls. As long as that vacuum abounds, we will, one way or the other, get stuck with endless yearnings that leave us drained, dejected, frustrated, and depressed.

Discontentment, whose counterpart is greed, is a great evil. This has wrecked many individuals, homes, families, institutions, and governments. It's like a disease that eats into the fabric of our peace. Vanessa had this disease. She always wants to live up to the expectations of her friends no matter what it costs her. Whether it costs her everything is up to you to find out. I believe that when we learn how to be contented with what we have and who we are, a negative comparison will dissipate, and a better society will emerge.

I admire Towse's powerful imaginative capacity and would love to read more of his fiction. Aside from the fact that there were no mapped-out chapters and the storyline was a little blurry and a bit confusing, coupled with the ill organization of paragraphs, I disliked nothing else about this book. Although minimal errors abound, the book still seems to be well-edited. I would rate this book 4 out of 5 stars due to the negative points I just made.

This book is an interesting piece, and I would love to recommend it to mature readers and lovers of escapist stories. You are in for a shocker.
