Terms of Service by Craig W. Stanfill is a glimpse of what the world could look like with the full force of Artificial Intelligence in action. Kim lives in a city where Artificial Intelligence controls the lives and major activities of every person from the moment they wake up, until the moment they retire to bed. Life is fairly ok for Kim as she has little trouble going about her daily life with few hitches from the nature of Artificial Intelligence technology that runs the city. The real trouble begins for Kim when her best friend Shan pulls her into an adventure trip in restricted areas, and they begin to discover the dark side and the secrets about Artificial Intelligence that are kept hidden from those who lived in the prestigious city. Kim's life takes a drastic turn for better, then for worse later as she continues to discover secrets and can no longer escape the claws of hierarchy.

When I first read the description of the book, I thought it was more of explaining how Artificial Intelligence works and its advantages. As an individual who has a certain level of interest in Artificial Intelligence, I was happy to indulge. While reading the book, I was even happier to note that the author tries to show how potentially dangerous Artificial Intelligence can be to the human race if allowed to interfere with human existence to a certain extent. This is what I love most about the book. Humans are gradually getting so attached to technology that the scenes described in Kim's misfortunes after discovering certain truths may be exactly what could happen to countless individuals in the future.

It was also intriguing to note how Kim's life had been tracked from the moment she was born with so many unfortunate circumstances placed in her way just to prepare her for a higher purpose that suited the intentions of Artificial Intelligence without caring about her emotions or her human nature. It demonstrates just how much some individuals may be willing to manipulate others with the help of technology to achieve their desires.

With no negative comments to make about the book, and no typos or errors noticed, I can comfortably say the book was professionally edited, and give it a rating of 5 out of 5 stars.

To anyone interested in the development of Artificial Intelligence and what it might have in store for us in the future, this book is for you. However, the book contains a degree of sexual activity, so I do not recommend it for children and young teens.
