In his non-fiction work Always Strive to Be a Better You, Pete Hall provides readers with a road map for leading extraordinary lives. The book is based on interviews, interactions, and partnerships with seven ordinary people, from which the author extracted 13 key life lessons. Each of these people's profiles contains about 200 words in order to draw readers into their stories and highlight something particular and distinctive about them. The book is designed to help readers live what Plato referred to as a "happy, good, virtuous life." It contains reflective questions and activities to help readers maximize their efforts, as well as exclusive online content for additional benefit. Overall, the book is focused on providing readers with practical guidance for personal growth and development through the experiences of ordinary people.
One of the positive aspects of this book is its focus on ordinary people. The author's decision to interview everyday individuals rather than celebrities or experts makes the lessons more relatable and applicable to readers' lives. Additionally, the author's writing style is clear and concise, making it easy for readers to follow along with his ideas.

However, one potential negative aspect of this book is that some readers may find the lessons too simplistic or basic. While the author does offer some unique insights, much of the advice presented in this book can be found in other self-help books on the market.

Overall, I would rate Always Strive to Be a Better You four out of five stars. While it may not offer groundbreaking advice, it does provide readers with a solid foundation for personal growth and development. I would recommend this book to anyone who is interested in living an extraordinary life but doesn't know where to start.
