Review of We are Voulhire: A New Arrival under Great Skies
The fantasy book We are Voulhire: A New Arrival under Great Sky takes readers to a fantastic universe filled with adventure and fights between good and evil. The book is the first in a series, and the world that author Matthew Tysz created has had a significant influence on contemporary society, inspiring poetry, historiography, ethics, rhetoric, art, and architecture. It has also had an impact on language, politics, law, education, philosophy, science, and warfare.
Galen Bray is a young refugee from a war-torn area who migrates to the affluent kingdom of Voulhire with the hope of creating a peaceful existence and taking over his uncle's forge. He finds that adjusting to Voulhire's unique surroundings takes some time for him because his previous experiences were focused mostly on survival. He sets off on a voyage with his travelling companion, Rowan, unaware of the turbulent events taking place in other regions of the realm as they explore the enormous empire. The main issues at stake, as Galen's voyage progresses, are what kind of experiences he will have and if the kingdom will ever be able to experience sustainable peace.
It's a good idea that the book's first chapter includes a map. That makes the geographic context of the novel easier to visualize, which I found to be helpful for readers to better understand the characters' actions. Because of the author's skilful use of language, I was able to see the novel and experience its exciting scenes, especially the cliffhangers that had me on the edge of my seat. The author did a good job of portraying the many characters' differing characteristics in a way that made them complement each other and work well together. The author's use of standard English was another thing I admired. The development of each character was given enough time in each chapter, which was expertly written. The novel had a clear framework, and it was amazing how well the action moved from one chapter to the next. The inclusion of steam vehicles alongside magicians, magic, and sword-fighting, as well as the author's skilful construction of the characters and the storyline, give the novel a hint of modernity despite its medieval setting. It was an exciting and unique reading experience for me because of the anticipation that the conspirators' lust for power had caused over Voulhire's fate. The book's most memorable elements were the intricate and occasionally gory scenes, which gave me chills and a feeling of discomfort.
There was nothing about this book that I didn't appreciate; it was exceptionally well-written and error-free. The author uses this domain to investigate and comment on a wide range of aspects of current life, which provides a wealth of inspiration for writers, artists, and thinkers.
A careful study revealed no negative features in the book. As a result, I gave it a rating of 5 out of 5 stars. This acclaim is well deserved for the book's flawless editing, gripping tension, and compelling storytelling. I highly recommend this outstanding fantasy thriller to those who enjoy suspense literature, fantasy fiction, stories of magic, or medieval tales and exhort them to indulge in its grandeur.
