Reports on discrimination against minority groups in developed nations are common, especially in schools, healthcare facilities, and workplaces. In the book Addressing Systemic Discrimination by Reframing the Problem by Dr. Frank L. Douglas, cases of discrimination against people based on their color and gender have been addressed in detail. Frank started by defining and elaborating on various terms related to discrimination. He then discussed cases where individuals had suffered either one form of discrimination or the other. He also thoroughly analyzed the type of discrimination suffered and suggested how the victims would have dealt with the situation. He also examined the degree of biases and categorized them based on severity. Some cases, like that of Dr. M.S., a black female physician, are very touching. Despite being a physician, she is despised by other healthcare providers and mistreated, including misdiagnosing her cancer.

Dr. Frank is a creative writer, and I liked how he immediately developed the book from the cover page. There is a black and a white hand, and the title is half written in white and the other half written in black. This makes it easy to tell that the author is advocating against racism. It was also a good idea not to discuss the cases right away. Dr. Frank took the book's first part to clarify and elaborate on key terms that would be used in the analysis of discrimination against the victims. This made it easy to understand the rest of the book. Also, the author was not using the interviewees' full names but their initials. It makes identifying them hard, which is good for security purposes. It was also an excellent effort to come out and address such a serious issue. Minority groups are indeed facing discrimination in one way or the other.

I only had difficulty understanding the book's first part because most of the terms were new to me. He mainly used abbreviations, and I had to keep confirming their full form. This slowed down my reading. However, it helped me to understand part two easily. I never had another problem with the book.

The book was professionally edited, as I only found a few grammatical errors. I only had a minor problem with the use of abbreviations. Therefore, this was great work, and I award it five out of five stars.

If you are interested in knowing about discrimination in developed nations against minorities, I recommend reading this book, as it contains insightful discussions about these cases.
