The Princes' Lands is an empire that has been struggling with war and poverty. Galen Bray, a native of this land, fled to the distant town of Magnum Caelum in Voulhire, where his uncle works as a blacksmith. Voulhire is a kingdom that has reached the height of its glory with an era of economic and structural growth. Galen is optimistic about starting a new life in this land. However, the hope for peace and prosperity is endangered by the presence of dark forces that are waiting in the shadows to strike.

Upon reading the book, I was initially struck by its incredible narrative flow and intriguing plot twists. The book's character development was particularly impressive, and I found myself drawn in by the author's unique style and creativity. Although it may sound like hyperbole, I feel that this book deserves a perfect score.

One aspect that I especially appreciated was the presence of several hidden surprises that caught me off guard. Fortunately, the author had thoughtfully included a glossary of terms and concepts, which proved invaluable in helping me navigate the more complex aspects of the story. Knowing that this resource was available from the outset allowed me to read with confidence without getting bogged down in trying to decipher unfamiliar words or concepts. Overall, I found this book to be a true gem and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a captivating and thought-provoking read.

I found Matthew Tysz's writing style in this book to be very accessible and engaging. The storyline was well-developed, and the characters were compelling, with some of them even becoming favorites of mine, such as Gallen, Lord Eldus, Marshus, and Rowan. I appreciated that the story wasn't overly sanitized and had some darker moments, which added to its overall interest.

The fantasy element of the novel was seamlessly integrated into the story, with magic being used in a believable and effective way. Tysz also did a great job of developing each character, giving them unique traits and personalities that were appropriate for their respective roles.

The book was written in a friendly and approachable language, and it was evident that the author put a lot of effort into providing ample information to the reader. The story was filled with suspense and tension, which kept me hooked throughout. I'm excited to see how the characters and their stories will continue to develop in the next book. All in all, I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book.

There was nothing I disliked about this book. We are Voulhire: A New Arrival under Great Skies was exceptionally edited too. Therefore, I would give this book a rating of 5 out of 5 stars. I would recommend this book to readers who love books on magic and mages.
