Review of Dangerous Conjectures
Adam and Julia Gosford, a Bay Area married couple, find themselves pressurized alongside the people of the country, all thanks to a scheming presidency combined with an invading pandemic. Adam, being a university computer scientist, knows the adverse effects of this deadly virus known as "COVID-19."
The virus started in China and continued spreading worldwide, without regard to continental boundaries. It became worse when the regressive government failed to take the health of the masses, which is being threatened by the Corona virus, seriously. Adam knew things were going haywire when he was interrogated by a team of Homeland Security investigators. According to the investigations, there was a computer security professional who revealed the emails from the incoming director of a high-profile government agency. Julia, his wife, who was a public policy advocate for the ACLU of Northern California, also felt the increasing bedlam in a hotly disputed election year, where syndicate theorist collective QAnon is busy spreading false information and qualms. As the coronavirus megalomania deluges the couple, whose relationship has seen happy moments, so does their entanglement in adultery. Julia's aggrieved ex-lover Dave appears to inflict destruction on her marriage after a careless misjudgment; her best friend Amy's husband comes out. Then Julia lapses into drug dependence. She finds her life falling apart, and the question is, can she ever put it back together again? Will this couple be able to resolve their issues after engaging in extramarital affairs? Find out in the book.
Dangerous Conjectures, by the award-winning Brian Finney, is a captivating psychological thriller and a conspiracy lover's dream. Amazing moments of social observation sometimes appear, inscribing topics like homelessness, the American dream, homosexual community rights, racial prejudice, and the kind of future that awaits Adam and Julia's young daughter, Liz, as she gets older.
The author vividly captures the havoc and disorder that occurred in 2020, anchoring all the mayhem with a fearless couple that fights for love, justice, and humanity throughout an indelible year in human existence. You'll feel connected to the plot points with a sense of awareness; after all, who hasn't been affected by the pandemic in one way or another? And you will be thrilled by the conspiracy arena, which I personally find extremely entertaining. There are 18+ situations, energetic arguments, and high energy. If you're looking for a strong family drama with riveting characters and a conspiracy-based plot that will have you flipping the pages, you have to read Dangerous Conjectures by Brian Finney. The book is grammatically correct, which only means that it was exceptionally edited. I don't have any particular dislike for any part of this book; therefore, I rate the book 5 out of 5 stars. And I commend the author for his wonderful writing skills. Good job, Brian!
