Snatched Up to Heaven for Kids by Jemima Paul and Arvind Paul is an engaging story about a girl named Emma who always dreamt about heaven and the wonderful experiences she had there. This book tries to portray that heaven and hell are real.

The plot was sequentially organized so that even non-Christians would read the book and get the gist of the story. The diction used by the author was quite simple and easily understandable, the book seemed magical at a point, such as when Emily said that everyone looked like a Prince and Princess because they are all royalty, as they are the children of a king.

As I read the book, a lot of emotions ran through me. It was reassuring, realistic, heartwarming and uplifting. I have read the Bible many times but I never pictured heaven the way it was well described in this book. I tried imagining the excitement Emily must have felt on visiting heaven, the joy on her face while meeting the angels. The author's descriptive prowess made me wish I was there to witness the beauty of heaven and appreciate it. I was moved by the honest and childlike accounts of the little girl who entered heaven in her dreams. I liked the way the author added that Emily also visited hell, to add a touch of reality to it and also lay emphasis on the consequences of disobedience.

This theological work elaborated on heaven and hell and how salvation can only be attained through Jesus. It’s a book that will make you love God more and fear death less and it will help you understand that heaven is a place where we worship God and live a life without fear, pain or sorrow. It's impressive how the author told his story without necessarily altering the scripture as was narrated in the bible and this can be seen by the way he supported his sentences with bible verses. The illustrations in the books also helped in creating a clearer picture of the events that occurred in my head.

The book has the answer to many why's and the lessons I garnered are so numerous that I found no negative aspects. It is a compelling and convincing book for kids because I will make them love God more. It was professionally edited as I found no error therefore I rate it 5 out of 5 stars. It will make a nice read for children who are curious about God, Jesus and heaven.
