Review of Unicorns Know Magic
In the book Unicorns Know Magic by Charles Adkins, a little boy and his sister are introduced to and get to know their new neighbors. It is immediately apparent after their first encounter that the new neighbors are peculiar, not only because they are from Mars! The kids immediately realize that Abby, Georgia, Bitsy, and Chase are unusual for several reasons, but mostly because they are (flying) unicorns.
This book's ability to deliver a lovely tale humorously is one of its finest assets. It is fascinating and enjoyable to see the kids go on adventures with their new unicorn friends, all good citizens. It is just the kind of book I would like to read to my kids and my nieces and nephews. There were a lot of uplifting themes throughout the book. In particular, the unicorns show that they are thankful for their friends and go above and beyond to aid the people around them.
There was only one problem: reading from the downloaded file was complicated. I didn't hate many things about this book. I didn't notice any spelling errors and saw no negatives in my reading or evaluation. Other than that, I couldn't think of anything that this book's future iterations should change.
Charles Adkins' book Unicorns Know Magic scored 5 out of 5. Despite one slight inaccuracy, it did not interfere with my reading. I thought this book more than deserved an "excellent" rating because of this.
Children interested in fantasy should read this book. Given that it is mainly oriented toward children, I would only suggest this book to people with kids. The novel could nevertheless appeal to confident adults. Furthermore, even older kids would like reading this book, even though it seems to have been designed mainly for younger readers. It is always nice to come across this sort of book as a child; it helps teach you to read.
