This book follows the actualization of the vision of a man, Bogglesbrogh, who intends to save the world from the impending evil of a woman, Lillius. Bogglesbrogh sends out some people he feels are chosen by fate to go and seek out people from different walks of life and different parts of life to save the kingdom and, by extension, the world. Lillius will not rest as she seeks help from both animate and inanimate objects. She does all she can to prevent the Monachai from reaching the 'chosen.' This includes infiltrating the 'chosen' by getting a spy among them. Nothing must happen to any of the 'chosen,' or else the evil of Lillius will defeat the goodness of the people. Lillius not only infiltrated the mind of one of the 'chosen' and spies on the mission of the rest but also tampered with their lives. She gets access to the Octavian Stones before the good people can tap into the magic of the Octavian Stones. Will evil eventually prevail over good?

The Octavian Circle by J. R. Binnie is a mind-blowing blockbuster that is written to defy the expectations of every reader. Binnie tells a compelling story that will undoubtedly keep readers glued to their seats throughout the night. The storyline is exceptional, with Binnie employing suspense well and using hair-raising twists to create this unpredictable story. The book also evoked different emotions like love, hate, pity, admiration, and fear, among others, in this reader. At the point when Yanis was struck, this reader felt pity for Sinajia, who was in love with him, and also felt confused as to how the Octavian Circle would be completed without him. Also, feelings of sadness and admiration came up when some of the Monachai laid down their lives to protect some of the 'chosen.'

In addition to these, Binnie's style of writing is compelling, and there are great lessons that can be learned from the book. The book teaches the strength of brotherhood and unity. The unity of the chosen persons enabled them to go against Lillius despite all odds. Also, through his characters, Binnie teaches important lessons about certain fundamental concepts such as religion, belief in God, and science. Also, I found the plot of the book engaging. There are a lot of questions I have, and I am wondering if there will be a sequel.

My least favorite thing about this book is limited to just one, which is related to the uncertainty I was left with. Lillius's daughter is reported to be back with bitterness over the death of her mother. I was not sure whether she would be desirous of avenging the death of her mother in a follow-up book or if she would be willing to forgive her mother's killers. The description done at that part gives the feeling that the young lady is not willing to forgive but instead seeks revenge for her mother's death and wishes to continue the dreams of her mother conquering the world. This may serve as a starting point for the plot of a follow-up story. I would be looking forward to this.

I spotted only a few errors in this book. This shows that the book was professionally edited. Adding to the above positives, I will rate this book five out of five stars. I found no reason to deduct any stars from my rating. I recommend this book to people interested in ancient magic and the supernatural.

Some classic tropes such as people chosen for some very special kind of destiny are used to build a story that is full of emotions and important themes. Thank you for your great review!
