the beginning is never close enough
to grasp,
but the end is invisible
to the naked eye,
arms, legs,
lips uncovered
never covered, never
complete.

a shelf is never complete
without a bookend to
contain its contents.
i maybe may……be falling like dominos
fall like rose petals fall
like feathers and hope

is a double edged sword, one that never
stays true to promises,
swears to god or the universe:
whichever becomes more of a lasting
memory to the human population;

to mother
a̶n̶d̶ ̶f̶a̶t̶h̶e̶r̶
just a lasting
memory of…


but it’s whatever honestly,
there’s never been a time like the present
to memorize words on a page,
never letting go of that one
good thing you had so
long ago, so
i’ll fall like
dominos fall like rose petals fall like
hope
………… falls
……………………………. like
………… feathers:

……………………………… weightless.

water to finger’s surface, watch it ripple.
deforming face like
mirror | rorrim
does; nothing is what it seems
anymore, not since the good thing
began to taste like mango, picked
in june just
days too early:
not inedible but certainly not as sweet as it should have been.

so i’ll fall again like hope falls like feathers.
