Review of We are Voulhire: A New Arrival under Great Skies
The outstanding science fiction fantasy book We are Voulhire: A New Arrival Under Great Skies is authored by Matthew Tysz. Tysz creates a fascinating world where the natural and supernatural mix in religion, science, and magic in the first novel in the series. The action takes place in Voulhire, a strong country on the cusp of a golden era. This planet is comparable to ours in terms of its prosperity, culture, and fast growing technology. As the people of Voulhire struggle with their identities, power and retaliation take center stage.
At first, the reader sees the tale through the protagonist's eyes, but as the storyline develops, several other characters take center stage and weave a convoluted web that makes readers wonder who the real protagonist could be. We are given a greater grasp of the complexities of the other key characters as a result of this unanticipated change of viewpoint, which questions and reshapes our original judgements. To ensure that readers are thoroughly engaged in the adventures of each character, each chapter, which is distinguished by its concision, has a title that concentrates on the narrative of a particular character. Tysz, the author, has a command of descriptive language that easily carries readers into the action of the novel and arouses intrigue and suspense with well placed cliffhangers. The striking difference between the characters' personalities and the harmonic dynamics they produce when they interact is one of the story's most notable features. This complicated interaction not only gives the story depth and complexity, but it also keeps readers interested as they anticipate each new turn. The book has also been properly edited, and the only flaws detected were small ones.
Additionally, Tysz's decision to use common English throughout the novel gives it a cozy feeling of familiarity, as if the events are taking place in our reality. This realism, which grounds the tale in a world that seems palpable and true, not only improves readers' connections to the characters but also heightens the impact of the narrative. I had a great time reading this fast-paced fantasy book with a compelling plot. Matthew expertly combines a variety of fantastical themes, creating a fictitious realm with accurate geographical descriptions and a map of Voulhire. The tale is made more intriguing by the use of unusual terms. The book's action-packed conclusion holds the reader's interest right up to the very last page, leaving them hungry to read the next installment and learn more about Galen Bray's adventure.
There was nothing to dislike about this book. I give this fantasy book a rating of 5 out of 5 stars because it has a strong plot and well-written prose. I can not wait to read more in this series since the author has expertly created a brand-new world for us to explore. I only noticed a few errors while I was reading, thus the book was well edited.
To fans of science fiction and fantasy who like reading war thrillers, I would definitely suggest this book. Due to the use of profanity and violent situations, I would not suggest this book to young readers under the age of fifteen.
