Always Strive to Be a Better You by Pete Hall is a unique, introspective self-help book that helps you discover and enjoy the daily pursuit of your highest potential through the lives of seven extraordinary, ordinary subjects. These subjects (people) give tips and lessons on how they have overcome different struggles, evolved, and continue to grow while in constant daily pursuit of their highest potential.

What I like most about this book is the author's choice, through the lives of his subjects, to show that ordinary people can become extraordinary through the choices they choose to make in their daily lives. Most other books like his portray self-improvement through the lives of already famous people and their journey to attain success through their ups and downs. The author's choice to use a group of ordinary people as his subjects makes the task of achieving personal greatness and the daily pursuit of potential very achievable and open to everyone willing to commit to the journey.

I also like the subtle way the author used Plato's lesson on living a happy, virtuous, and good life to drive home the lessons he wanted his readers to learn from his subjects through his four core tenets and the 13 key learnings.

Furthermore, the author's use of strategic pauses and questions for the reader to ponder made this book even more engaging. The use of poems also makes for beautiful reading and appeals to this particular reader.

There is nothing to dislike about this book. I enjoyed every aspect of it. The author is skilled and knows how to engage a reader while driving home his points and giving you time to think about changes you can make in your own life. For the above reasons, I rate this book five out of five stars. It is extremely well edited, and I did not find any errors while reading it.

I recommend this book to anyone out there willing to better themselves and commit to a life of striving to become a better you. I also recommend it to anyone who feels stuck and needs tips on how to move forward with life. Your journey toward your highest potential has already started. Don't hold back; strive to become a better you!
