The Diary of a Nobody.

Post by reinhardbeck »

by George & Weedon Grossmith. Is a marvellous book concerning the daily life of a nobody who has a lowly job as a clerk living in his little house in suburbia with his wife in late Victorian England. it is a meticulous record of the trivial and petty conerns and worries of his dialy life and even though nothing happens it is gripping stuff. Far more exciting than any thriller jammed packed with contrived plots and implausible sub plots and stuffed with cardboard cut out characters.

My only criticism...it's far too short!
