The book When Business Is Love is purpose-driven; the author Jan Ryde is the fifth-generation CEO of Hãstens, a company that has existed for over a century. If you are passionate about positively impacting humanity through your company, this book is for you. Readers will undoubtedly be fascinated by the simple but advantageous principle of how to run a company on love. Readers will be exposed to the day-to-day company challenges and the ways to navigate through them successfully.

The book starts with a historical discourse of the company from Pehr Adolf Janson. He laid down the principles of love. Janson took over the family business in 1885, and 1917 David ran it. In 1963, Jack and Solveig Ryde took over the family business. They later passed it on to their son Jan. Each generation encountered different experiences while running the company, and how they were able to navigate through these hurdles will be a great lesson for readers. Readers will learn how to run a company based on love and create an environment of joy, peace, abundance, and gratitude in a company. The author sees love as the defining principle of his life and work. He maintained the principles of love in the family business and gradually introduced the same principles to his employees. Readers will learn about the impact of competition, limiting beliefs, and customer satisfaction in every company. Readers will be privileged to understand the difference between human beings and human doing.

The author wrote this book with a solid, tested, and detailed principle of life and business. I like this book because of its engaging life and work lessons. The author was sincere about the peculiar challenges a person or group can encounter while starting and running a company. The author did not conceal relevant knowledge; he was plain with his descriptions. I like the idea of a working relationship explained in this book.

The simple and tested processes of achieving success explained in this book are some of the positive aspects of this book. The book's explanation of the differences between human beings and human doing is another positive aspect. The name of this book is another positive aspect of the book; it draws readers to take a second look.

There is no negative aspect to consider in this book. The author explained a principle of life and business that has worked in his life and the family business. These principles are great and can work in every life and business. Thus, I do not dislike anything in the book.

Jan Ryde's When Business Is Love is a well-written, impactful, and knowledge-filled book with exceptional editing. I give Jan Ryde's book,  When Business Is Love, 5 out of 5 stars because the book met my expectations and furnished readers with practical approaches to business growth and survival.

I recommend the book to readers passionate about building a sustainable company. I also recommend the book to readers who have the drive to build their family and company on love. Readers who value customer satisfaction should also read the book.
