Review of Snatched up to Heaven for Kids

Post by Ellen Drolette »

Snatched Up to Heaven for Kids caught my eye because of the title. This would be an excellent book for children learning to grieve for the first time. I quickly learned that the book is religious, which was fine; I love how the bible verses were woven in. Then I got to a page where they talk about hell. If a child were to have this book read to them, it would be downright terrifying not knowing if a loved one or friend went to Heaven or Hell. I do not recommend this book for children. I do not believe this is an emotionally supportive lesson for children learning about death and dying.
