In the book Reconfigurement, the author E. Alan Fleischauer talks about planning ahead for retirement. The author himself being a financial advisor advises and helps people with on how to plan retirement. The book talks about the balance between overcoming the obstacles of retirement and planning an early retirement. The book emphasises how you can actually plan your retirement at any stage of your life and be prepared ahead. The author describes the main purpose of the book: "..to address the chasm between reality and tradition, and to provide what I believe is a missing piece of the equation -- planning ahead for retirement".

The book's excellent writing with the author's knowledge as a financial planner draws a good insight on the topic. The author has divided each chapter into subjects and lessons on how to plan. There are about 13 chapters along with a conclusion where the overall summary and insights of the book have been shared. The book also has humour jokes in each chapter which makes it more interesting and funny. The author also has cited references wherever necessary crediting to the owner, which enhances the book's credibility.

I especially loved the concept of Reconfiguremnent, where you can plan your retirement at any stage of your life "...especially given the wisdom that comes with age". I also really liked the chapter Finding your Fit which is a career test with a lot of assignments that are fun as well as give you the right choice to find your passions. The author's importance on ensuring that you enjoy and have fun before retiring makes it more connected to the readers.

There is nothing about this book that I don't like but the book might be dry and boring if you are not into financial planning, especially at a young age once you start to implement you would like to get into it and would love it. It is a very easy-to-read book and it is professionally edited. It would be even more nice if the chapters had the lesson names on the content page. There are no references to sexual abuse and profanity. I would rate this book 4 out of 4 stars.
