Soul Seeker (Gehenna, #1) by Kaylin McFarren is a novel about good vs. evil, redemption, and dysfunctional families.

Set into two parts, the first half follows Benjamin Poe-a firefighter on the verge of divorce whose young adult son has an attitude problem. Murder mystery ensues while Crighton, Lucifer’s highest ranking soul collector, comes to ensnare the evil doer’s soul. Secrets are revealed as Poe does everything in his power to thwart the demon’s tricks and to protect his family. But will he lose his own soul in the process?

Part two then follows Crighton himself during his next assignment from the devil. It’s a simple enough task, but when The Sovereign Sector gets involved, everything goes sideways. Trapped and forced into a soul-bond, Crighton must fight for his freedom and protect everyone he cares about. Kidnapping, soul-bonding, pasts revealed-will Crighton be able to redeem himself while everything he was raised to believe is questioned?

I give Soul Seeker 5 out of 5 stars! Kaylin combines two worlds in this thrilling novel that had me captured from the very beginning. The start of the story was a complete emotional roller coaster that even had me crying within the first few chapters. It is so well written and the author has an amazing way with words that immerse you in the world. What I loved as well was that there was very little filler. We move from scene to scene without feeling rushed. There were no moments that felt like they were added just for the sake of having more words or a longer story.

Fast-paced and action packed, this book will give you an adrenaline rush and have you hanging on the edge of your seat!

I highly recommend this book to anyone who likes thrillers, paranormal, mystery, and dark romance.
