My Infinite Self: Memoirs of an Eternal Being by Reverend Lisa Rae Brooks is a voyage of finding oneself and identifying life’s purpose. This book details the author's journey to discover why she had bodily and mental effects from events she couldn't fully comprehend. It describes various events in her life and how they can help the reader as well. Looking back and within are important aspects of achieving this understanding. Overall, the book dives into the author’s personal experiences and spiritual adventures.

Rev. Lisa Rae Brook’s personal story was intriguing to read about. I couldn’t put the book down and wanted to know more about her experiences. It was interesting to see how events in her childhood shaped her life. I could relate to some of the things she had to endure during that time. How she pushed through difficult times and feelings was inspiring. The affirmations and meditations in each chapter were very helpful and uplifting. Rev. Brooks did a great job of exploring different possibilities and ideas. There is nothing I would change about this book except to alter the spelling of a word. The editing is mostly great, aside from one minor issue it had. In general, it seems to be a very well-written book.

I am giving this book a rating of 5 out of 5. A number of situations that the author talked about were relatable, and how she moved past them was inspiring. The experiences she had were really interesting. I liked that it wasn’t overly pushy about one religion over another. A spiritual tone is present, but it is also educational. The notes and references were helpful in explaining unfamiliar topics. I learned many things while reading it. Anyone who wants to become more self-aware and learn from her story should read this book.
