Mundane beauty.

Post by ncoard »

let us find those normal things.

( a leaf,
a lampshade,
a hurricane,
a broken heart. )

let us find these people.

( a barber,
a nurse,
a lover,
a sad boy. )

let us find these moments,

( the kiss,
the last goodbye,
secret glances,
the first time she see’s her father cry. )

let us find those broken things,

( the shattered mirror,
those born into tragedy,
your mothers hope,
yourself. )

let us find these things,
let us stare at them for hours.
let us memorise them,
let us never forget them.

these things, these people, these moments, these broken times are messy and normal and,

and they’re ours.

I'm actually legit obsessed with this. I find it so entirely captivating and something that a lot more people should consider. There's beauty in everything around us, and some people ultimately fail to realize this unfortunately.
