Have you ever been held accountable for an act you did not commit? Have you ever wished you could just go back to your old self and cherish the little things in life that bring you the greatest joy? Allow me to switch it up with a mystery novel. William Holms' The Intruder You Know is a crime thriller that tells the tale of Paige Childers, a young girl whose life drastically changes after she gets married. Young and in college, Paige enjoys hanging out with her friends, playing volleyball, going camping, and fishing. Her mother neglected her, and she never had a real father who could truly love her other than Dean, which makes her background so tragic. She experienced her first breakup in addition to the turmoil in her family. She finds it difficult to let go of her past. She was raised alone and eventually married a prosperous man.

After all these years, she is now the mother of three amazing children. Her spouse has advised her to stay at home with their children until they are adults, which has prevented her from going to work. Paige is passionate about teaching, but she is forced to put her kids first. She doesn't give her past much thought now that she is married, yet something is still lacking in her. When Paige grows weary of her lifestyle, the narrative begins to pick up steam. The murder scene that leads the novel upends her world and makes her question all she has been taught to believe is good for her. Since she is being accused of a crime she never committed, she is being played by someone really close to her, which almost ruins her life. Who is this person? Does she make it? And what about her husband? Is this something she's making up, or is it real?

William Holms' excellent mystery novel The Intruder You Know is full of unexpected turns that will leave you wondering what will happen next. Her story is deeply romantic and filled with strong feelings. Her character is endowed with a wonderful disposition and a resilient spirit that perseveres through her challenges. Her narrative combines justice, freedom, trust, and love. I was captivated by it because of how realistic it seemed and how much love and care the people had for what they did. The way that Paige fights for her freedom, despite the fact that she is torn apart inside, is really unique. I adore each and every character for their profound influence on Paige, changing her in both positive and negative ways. Her character seems really mysterious, with deep emotions and secrets that no soul has ever known. I think the way that the investigation was held was really interesting and captivating. The lawyers did a fantastic job, along with the main characters.

My interest and growing love for crime, thrillers, and fiction works caused me to read this amazing book in just two days. I genuinely adored it. The book had a lot more profanities than I expected, and I would have preferred it if the author had included a warning or a notice about that. However, I was not bothered in the slightest by taking a point off the rating. I also noticed a few errors throughout the book that did not affect my reading. I did not find anything negative worth reducing the rating. I would give it a perfect rating of 5 out of 5 stars.

I definitely recommend this book to those who love a read of crime that holds mysteries and a story that offers love and romance. Since the book contains a huge number of profanities, I don’t think it would be a great choice for those who love a clean read.

Wow, I want to read this book next! I love page-turning thrillers, and you presented this in such a way that I must read it. This sentence from you, 'Is this something she's making up, or is it real?' is all I need to excite me for this book. Thanks for the heads-up about the swearing; it is good to know in advance.

Yes it is heartbreaking. That is something nobody can understand until they are in the same state and it hurts a lot. Thanks for the comment!
