Angels and demons do exist. They, at one time or another, influence humans' decisions or fate, but man is capable of choosing whatever he wants, either good or bad. We will forever live to either regret or feel fulfilled for our actions or inactions and have nobody to blame.

Soul Seeker by Kaylin McFarren is a book that presents Crighton as a two-in-one character—initially, as a demon, and later, as 'an angel'. Firstly, as a huge demon who is very diligent, loyal, and committed to his master in carrying out his wicked, heartless, dreadful, and fierce assignment of catching souls, which he has been trained to do all his life. He never thought of another lifestyle or mentality better than what he knew. With his witty, smart, unique, and intentional ways of discharging his duties, he becomes the best servant to his master, Lucifer, the king of demons. Lucifer has so much confidence in Crighton. Crighton's extraordinary qualities triggered Lucifer to send him on a more serious mission, which was to capture the souls of angels to redeem his soul and give him a high sense of satisfaction by feeding on them. On Crighton's part, being able to complete this mission within the specified time would earn him a greater height of accomplishment and promotion.

Crighton's sojourn in his assignment brings him into contact with an angel for real. What a great opportunity! Angels are peace-loving and friendly. They are fun to be with, compassionate, and empathetic. They are like parallel lines for demons. Now, Crighton gets a chance to capture the soul of this angel and will not let this slip off, but he realizes something unexplainable is holding him back! How did he handle this situation? Grab your copy to find out.

My favorite character in the novel is Crighton. He is a determined and strong-willed man who never gives up easily. He is smart and intelligent in handling matters. Although he embraces teamwork, he is also skeptical about who to trust and rely on. He follows his instincts, and nothing catches him unawares. He is a good time manager and a troubleshooter, and he puts other people's safety first. Although he has the weakness of getting infuriated and not being able to control his temper, eventually he worked on this and himself when he realized that he had been living against humanity.

This book is highly recommended for lovers of adventure, suspense, horror, and mystery. In a way, the book answers some questions relating to religious beliefs, the existence, power, and relationship among angels, demons, and human beings, and the connection between human deeds and their conscience.

Kaylin's writing prowess is commendable. She can weave up the story in an interesting way that sustains the reader's attention with a high sense of suspense. The topic of each chapter is just too perfect and deep. She can incorporate features such as hatred, anger, love, romance, prophecy, mystery, horror, and supernatural power into the book. I find no grammatical or spelling errors in the book. I am rating the book 5 out of 5 stars because of the aforementioned reasons.
