They are Voulhire, the city of mistery, with a complicated and traumatising past, brutal lords, and supernatural events. As the whole city is surrounded by chaos, a young man, Galen, arrives. His uncle, who lived in Voulhire, had no heir other than him, so the uncle found his nephew living on the Prince Islands and helped him escape to Voulhire. Prince Islands was an awful habitat to live in, and Voulhire promises not much more peace than that. This is the book “We are Voulhire: A New Arrival under Great Skies” by Matthew Tysz. This is the first book in the series and introduces the reader to Galen’s life. As he arrives in Voulhire, the author starts uncovering the history of the city. The book captivates its readers and keeps them invested.

There were many positive sides to this book. First and foremost, the author took the story’s wholeness seriously and involved some graphic maps of the cities. The book was action-packed, and the author’s writing style was very interesting. It kept me so invested that I couldn’t put the book down. The events were logically linked, and there were intriguing passages as well. I think this is a great series opener since it contained many stories and there were some loose ends left. There is a lot of space left for development in future books. I enjoyed the experience of reading it a lot. It was also professionally edited.

There were no negative sides to this book. The loose ends were a little frustrating for me, but I understand that they were intentional so the other books would have a foundation.

I rate this book 5 out of 5 stars for its alluring content, the author’s excellent writing style, and the other positive sides. As I mentioned, there was no reason to give it a bad rating.

I would recommend this book to fantasy lovers who are looking for an intriguing and interesting series. I am sure many people will love this book with all the magic it carries.
