PROCRASTINATION

I’ll do it tomorrow
I don’t feel like it today
I’ll do it later
Maybe I’ll feel like it later

Words that resound daily
A condition wrought with guilt
Yet somehow comforting
Yet somehow relaxing

Just get it done
Don’t put off to tomorrow
What you can do today
A successful person is productive

Societal norms, appear busy even if you’re not
Shuffle papers, surf the net
Constant chatter, make some noise
Forever stimulated, forever engaged.

Idleness is the devil’s workshop
Quietness is resisted
Conformity is encouraged
Procrastination is to be avoided

Procrastination is a condition
A condition related to time
Excessive time, do nothing time
Quiet time, slow time,
My time
