While Sammy the Weasel enjoys his afternoon, Kramer the Dog comes rushing to him. He believes that there is an elephant in the house. Sammy the Weasel doesn't believe this. However, he still wears his detective gear, and together they go into the house to inspect if there is an elephant. At first, they don't see anything, but Sammy the Weasel discovers something. To find out if Kramer the Dog was correct, read The Elephant(s) in the Room by Denny Laake and Monica Laake Beavers.

The Elephant(s) in the Room by Denny Laake and Monica Laake Beavers is a children's book that I found mostly entertaining. Doing the research with Sammy and Kramer is exciting while trying to look for clues in the house. Sammy the Weasel considered himself knowledgeable, and he trusted what he thought was right.

The investigation was made easier by the illustrations by Monica Laake Beavers. Some of the dialogue is included in the illustrations. They also provide the reader with the answers needed, and this helps the reader make a vital discovery in the story. They have great color and definition, too. The aspect I found educational was addressing some meals for some animals and the sounds some animals produce.

I rate The Elephant(s) in the Room by Denny Laake and Monica Laake Beavers 5 out of 5 stars. It is funny reading about Sammy's investigation. I came across a fun fact in the book that children would love to read about. The Elephant(s) in the Room is short and colorful. It was perfectly edited, and I noticed no errors. There is nothing to dislike about the book.

I would recommend the book to children below the age of nine. It is a great introduction to conversations, and the concept enhances their discovery skills. It had great characters like Mo the Monster and Ellie the Elephant, which children enjoy.
