ARA Review by Mostafa51 of In It Together

The ARA Review Exchange is a system in which authors review other authors' books, generlaly in exchange for getting their own book reviews by other authors. However, the person who reviews a author's book is not the same person whose book that author reviewed. This way, author reviews do not influence each other, such as by an author being inclined to reward a good review by deliving one in return or deliver a negative review as revenge.

A jargon-free philosophical look at human condition
4 out of 5

With a touch of Rumi's philosophy in mind, the author explores the flaws in modern societal structures, emphasizing the broken and rusty struts that support them. Addressing the unfortunate state of many individuals and the self-imposed helplessness of others, the author carefully avoids portraying the situation as irreversible, especially when discussing the concept of 'Philosophical zombies.'
Although it is very difficult to not be dismayed and even completely disappointed by the dire issues he explores, the author remains faithful in human resilience.

If the author had explore the role of the systems and establishments in creating such philosophical and psychological disparities within societies, I would have rated this book by five stars instead of four.

The statement, ''We cannot help the starving children because we cannot help ourselves,'' encapsulates decades of self-negligence and self-destruction within certain human societies.

I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book, and what enhanced my experience was the author's humility and inclusive approach throughout the narrative.
