Although I had heard of cryptocurrencies like Ethereum and Bitcoin before, I had no idea about how they exist or how they work. Hence, I was very eager to read the book to gain at least a basic understanding of what they are. "Jon Law" and "Alan John" try to answer most of the general questions a layman would have about Bitcoin in their book. The book promises to break down Bitcoin and its surrounding subject matter in a way that anyone interested in cryptocurrencies, without prior knowledge, would be able to understand. Its contents are based on a simple question-and-answer format. From simple questions like “What is Bitcoin?” to more complex ones such as “How can the market cap of Bitcoin be calculated?” It incorporates diagrams and other visuals, making it easy for the reader to understand.

One thing that stands out about the book is how easy it is to digest. I enjoyed the part that answered how to explain Bitcoin to a five-year-old. At that level, regardless of who you are, you will easily grasp what Bitcoin is. While the book's primary aim is to help readers understand what Bitcoin is about, I discovered that it would be beneficial for people who are already into Bitcoin, especially if they own some. The book contains a lot of information about managing your Bitcoin and the best practices for buying and selling, among other topics. For example, it includes information about popular services that facilitate Bitcoin transactions and coin loans, such as blockfi.com, lendabit, youhodler, bitpops, coinloan.io, and mycred.io. This information can be very helpful if you are an investor aiming to grow your investment. The question-and-answer format of the book also allows readers to begin the book by starting with questions they are more interested in; hence, the book does not have to be read in a conventional format. It was well-edited.

I am giving it a five out of five because it effectively explains Bitcoin, covering topics like blockchain, Bitcoin security, and the utility of various cryptocurrencies, delivering on its promise. This book is for people who want to learn more about Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies in general, especially those debating whether to invest in them or not.
