This fantasy fiction book, "We are Voulhire: A New arrival under Great Skies" written by Matthew Tysz, is a great guide to a land full of magic, war, and chaos. Being set in medieval times with swordsmen, archers, and even mages, we are taken through the dark times of Voulhire. The king had given each of his four princes land, people, and an army for them to rule and defend. But with so many heirs to the throne, surely one, or all of them, would have ambitions of being the true heir above all. This had led to what is referred as “the War in the Land of Princes.”

The main character of this story, Galen, is trying to reach his new home and life, left to him by his uncle. Running for his life to board a ship and hoping to make it there in one piece.

This book may start off a little slow, but I can assure potential readers that is the only drawback I can find about it. I have found no typos are grammar errors, making me see the book was edited rather well. The first mark of potential profanity would be the word ‘damn’, on page 15 of my web reader, however there is one use of the word ‘slut’, and several other profane words later in the book. There is also some sexual content, of which I would say 1 out of 5, depending on your own rating scale and context.

It is beautifully written, and the story was carefully put together with a lot of action and adventure, to drive the want to read more from the series. I know that I want to read the rest of the series, with the latest book, book number 7, having been released in 2022.
