William Shakespeare and His Sonnets

Post by TobiOrNotTobi »

A few months ago, I had to write a sonnet (Shakespearean sonnet) for English class. As I was counting my syllables, I thought about Shakespeare writing his own sonnets. I was imagining him sitting down writing, and counting his syllables.

Just think about it:

One of the greatest poets counting syllables for his sonnets. I don't know why, but that just comes across amusing to me. I always thought he was just a magical poet, who was made out of poetic words.

What's even more amusing is imagining him getting upset for missing one syllable on a line, "I just need one more syllable! Why did I make it 10?!" - William Shakespeare

Anyway, what do you guys think?
