Denise Stewart got her promotion, unintended though it was and it came along with a persona–non-grata label at her previous posting. She is now at Strandtown at serious crimes department. Before she can adjust, a new case unceremoniously drops at her feet. No clue other than the time, 11:05 is significant to the killer.

A mysterious caller come out of the woodworks and keeps helping her with information no one else has. Is he a scared witness or the killer? Why is he helping her? Does she get with a potential love interest despite swearing off men? Does she go for the caring cop or the charismatic prosecutor? Another murder so similar happens again. A stalker starts on her, is he up for revenge or something else so much to handle and she is barely a week into her new posting?

Brian O’ Hare has an ingenious talent of keeping the reader interests. He drops hints along the way to keep you guessing. He is a great talent and his books speak for it. This book is easy to understand and follow. O’Hare managed to keep me turning the pages looking for answers along with Sergeant Stewart. O’ Hare has you become vested in the outcome.

The grammar is easy enough to understand and comprehend. I like that the book made me care for the Sergeant and had me vested in her well being. It would have been an even better read if a twist had been added because after a while you start to see where it was leading. Another way to add interest would have been to add a few more visual cues and imagery to help me picture the scenery to have me even more vested.

O’ Hare book makes it easy enough to follow with suspense being enhanced with every page you turn. You will read in one go and if you love mystery and investigations The-1105-Murders is a book for you. Lovers of romance may not find much in its pages but you will fall in love or in the very least grow to care for the main character. I rate this book 3 out of 4 stars. I gave it a 3 because it is wonderfully and tastefully written giving it a higher then 2. I didn’t give it a 4 because it had the potential to be enhanced with a bigger picture of bigger picture or unexpected twist. All in all it was a good read.

I agree with your review. A twist and more vividly-described scenery would have made the book more enjoyable. I rated it 2 out of 4 stars.
