Escape by Belle Ami is a romance story about a gorgeous Jew American girl who is smart and hot headed at the same time. Being an only child of Dr. Wallace a nuclear physicist has made Layla independent women yet with a lot of undivided attention on her. Layla is a Harvard student doing her doctorate on history of arts and architecture. After finishing her final exam she was looking forward to go to Dubai for a vacation, away from the cold and snows weather of Boston. Her father didn’t agree on the trip though nor with her reason to go but she went anyway and rerated it on the first day when she became a casualty on a kidnaping. After the kidnapers find out she was a Jew and that she has been to Israel so many times, they made her their main target thinking she could be the real deal. Therefore Iran’s best was assigned to get her trust and to make her talk. The twist is her capturer being so hot and smart she fall for him and the story took a whole new turn.

The book has a lot of climax which makes the reads heart pound and eyes pop. That’s what makes it interesting, how the writer captured every character and every scenario to be exciting. Besides the romance scenes are hot, hot and really hot. Reading this book took me to places and counties as a tourist and as someone who was part of the story, I fought when they fought (well not physically), I dreamt when they did and I also gasped for air when they couldn’t breathe.

The editing was great and so was the chapter alignment, finishing every scene that started. I also like how it seems real. It shows Belle Ami did a good research about the countries, their culture and the political intensity that existed between them. It’s nice to read a book with a story lined out as if it was reporting an incident that actually happened.

Even if it had a great story and it consumed the reader completely, I believe it still has the ability to be broadened a bit, may be like add some more themes to it. But this doesn’t mean it needs it. How it captured the love of two very different people from very different lifes and beliefs is awesome. I’m just suggesting for book number two (Escape 2).

All and all I’m rating Escape by Belle Ami a 4 out of 4 stars. The flow of the story is really great and it kept me on my toe. Those who fancy romance and undercover work, I would recommend you to read it.
