Temptation Trails by B. Truly brings home what is going on in the world, and the possibility of something like this happening. Can you imagine the government dictating who marry and at what age? Can you imagine living in a world where you don’t want to date because it is pointless? That is what you are going to find in this romance.

The story takes place after the fall of the every major governing body and was left with one main world leader. During the time of change, the world leader decreed that the regime would decide who you marry and everyone is to be married at the age of 21 years old. The story follows two couples, that happen to be best friends, through their journey of finding love and overcoming the new regime rules. In the new regime, there is only one way to keep the one that you love, The Temptation Trials. During the trials, each contestant has to go out on 6 dates, with three different guys.

If you like the dating shows, like the Bachelor, this is the book for you. Follow Stephanie, Tobias, Cali, and Cade, as they try to prove to the world that their love will overcome the trials. Will love overcome all, or will they lose the one they love? The romance in this book will keep you on toes and leave you wanting more. It is not over the top while you get to know each character.

This story progressed nicely. There was never a dull moment about it. I am not a fan of dating shows but thought that was a GREAT read. The story was well-written and you get to see things through two different characters instead of one. That is why for this book I would give it a 3 out the 4-star rating. I am hoping that the second book is just as amazing, and I cannot wait to read it.

What I liked least about the story was how it ended. There are a lot of unanswered questions. It ends on a cliff hanger and leaves you wanting more. The book was lacking a lot of information, more importantly, How did we end up with only one person as World Leader. There was a lot that the author could have and should have added to the story for it makes sense. Don’t get me wrong, it was a good read, it just could have 75 percent better than it was.
