This book mesmerizes from the very first pages. It takes us to the East and brings Oriental magic.

There are several stories which are gathered in one- different routes to Adele's concert. Some protagonists will make it and some won't. But all of them will walk their own life path, growing as human beings, finding easy and not so easy solutions to their problems, overcoming shadows of the past and finding mirages of the future.

The book discusses questions we are all interested in- love, family, and children. Beautiful search of Malika starts in Rome and takes us to Marrakech. The authors skillfully envelope their readers into the miracles of Oriental dancing square. Out of a sudden the picture turns and we find ourselves in the middle of the prostitution ring. Malika is a child who has to sell herself. But even when we discover this shocking truth, we still feel compassionate. The way writers portray the love story is gentle and beautiful.

Mariam's family is fighting for survival. How do you manage to secure family life if busy life, jobs, kids and parents are making it impossible to create space for love and attention?

Waleed's mother has a bigger battle to fight. The father and his whole family can't allow her to live her own life with Waleed.

The best thing about this book is its tone. Compassionate, non- judgmental voices of authors tell us very complicated, sometimes controversial stories in an every-day way. It feels like we are talking to the guy or the girl next door, who let us in on their problems, but don't expect solutions.

Interesting characters, exotic settings are described in the easy language, but the extracts from Adele's songs in the end of every chapter are much more eloquent. It feels almost like those poems reveal all emotions concealed in the main text. So in the end we are feeling that we have attended this concert.

This book is an easy reading, but questions raised, are not easy. We are not getting any solutions, but are we really looking for them? Could we sort out lives of other people? And maybe mainly this approach helps the readers appreciate their own lives and their own problems. No one will be judged, not all issues will be resolved, but life goes on. Isn't it comforting? Let's live and plan our own Adele's concerts for us and our loved ones!

I rate this book 3 out of 4 stars.
