I would like to give 'A Place Under the Sun' a 5 out of 5 rating. The editing of the book is commendable, though I suggest using a larger font and smaller margins to improve readability. Additionally, starting each chapter on a new page would enhance the overall reading experience. Luis Urtueta offers a candid and transparent view of the modern corporate workplace, depicting it with an authenticity that resonates deeply. This book will be particularly helpful for those who find themselves in similar situations, as well as for anyone seeking a realistic insight into corporate life.

The story is overall depressing and uneventful, which effectively conveys the author’s perspective on the corporate environment. Urtueta captures the monotony and disillusionment of office life, making readers feel as though they are experiencing it firsthand. The protagonist’s internal monologues, his candid admissions about his salary being his only sense of achievement, and his struggles with love and meaningless work are strikingly authentic. Despite his overpaid job allowing for a fancy city flat, room service, and lots of international travel, he feels lost and worthless due to a lack of personal and professional fulfilment.

What sets the book apart is Urtueta's ability to combine these bleak realities with a sharp sense of humour.
