Farmer Beau's Farm by Kathleen Geiger is just eight standard pages long and revolves around Beau’s beautiful farm surrounded by fields of corn and soybeans. It is a children’s book published by Dog Ear Publishing on October 21, 2016. The story is told through the third-person omniscient narration in a friendly tone that the children are going to love.

Farmer Beau likes to tinker in his large garden, taking care of his flowers and Bamma, his wife, likes to bake and sew. One day while working, Beau notices 6 kittens playing in the garage. The couple is joyous to have the kittens and feed them but as the kittens grow older they leave the farm one after the other until there is only one kitten left, Kailey Kitten. Farmer Beau and Bamma are sad about this and devise a way to keep the playful and always friendly Kailey Kitten on the farm forever.

Soon the farm has a new addition. Kailey Kitten finds a new hopping friend and the farm becomes livelier. Another special addition is about to arrive at the farm and Kailey and Samantha are anxious and fear that Farmer Beau's and Bamma’s love for them will diminish with the arrival of the newcomer. What will the newcomer’s arrival mean for the Kailey and Samantha?

The book will be educative for the children and expand their minds to the personality and physical differences around them. They will get a chance to appreciate what each and every individual can bring to the community. Beau’s farm becomes a magical farm with different animals that become friends and love one another as individuals.

The book has 16 cute colored cartoon pictures that children are going to adore. It is also a good way to captivate them and give the story a better chance of holding and retaining their attention. I like the rhyming names of the animals: Kailey kitten, Samantha Bunny, and Malissa Giraffe! Children are going to like the play of words. The language used in the book is simple enough for the children to sail through the story.

The book was professionally edited and therefore had no grammatical mistakes. The plot will be enjoyable and educative to children and even to adults. I would, therefore, recommend it to both adults and children. I did not find any flaw in the book. I give it a rating of 4 out of 4 stars.

Yeah, the longer the more discouraged they get. You'd be better off writing 2/3 shorter ones than a lengthy one when you're dealing with children.
