Review of Guilty of Stealing His Heart
The book Guilty of Stealing His Heart by Nancy Lynn White is one of a kind; it is captivating from start to finish.
It starts with 5-year-old Carrie Wagner, who was left in an orphanage by her parents; having spent 11 years in an orphanage, she successfully made one friend, Ruth. After 11 years, the orphanage suffers a tragedy and burns down. At 21, she married the man she believed was the love of her life, who was supposed to help her fill the void her parents left in her heart. Unfortunately, everything was a lie as the man who was supposed to be a respectable banker, a Christian with social status, turned out to be the exact opposite; he turned out to be a criminal and a murderer. Once again, Carrie is left to battle with loneliness and heartbreak. So she decides to live above her pain and experiences by giving back to society; she takes in orphans to fill the void in her heart created by her parents and husband. Carrie eventually meets JT, a detective currently seeking revenge for the death of his best friend, Hank. So the big question is, will Carrie and JT be able to get what they both desire? What's the connection between Carrie and the death of JT's best friend, Hank? Does Carrie ever open her heart to love again? Find out more as you flip the pages of this book.
The best part of this book is Carrie's character development from a naive young woman who did not know the world's ways to a strong, honorable woman looking out for orphans. The author wrote this book so that every character was outstanding; they brought their roles to life, and no aspect of this book was left untouched. The author used simple English to make the book exciting to read.
I wouldn't say I disliked anything about this book because the author did an excellent job, and I wouldn't change anything about it.
The book could have been more perfectly edited, as I spotted some spelling and grammar errors as I read it. However, these errors are minute and did not affect my reading experience. Because of the author's beautiful job, I rate it 5 out of 5 stars. I recommend this book to lovers of romance. They will love this one.
