The World Is Flat

Post by spiceedt »

I'm not sure if anyone's posted about this book already (I'm sure someone has), but in my peruse of the forum I didn't really find anything. I've been a wavering fan of Thomas Friedman for a while now. I read the first version when it was published in 2005 and finally decided to pick up the expanded version (3rd not the 2nd) to see what was added. I'm about a third way through the book so far and so far the "flatterners" all still seem relevant. There are some that I'm not sure I fully agree with him about. I do think the amount of research he did, and visiting the headquarters to so many businesses and getting insight from the executives and owners makes this book that much more special. Has anyone else read this book? Either version?

Currently listening to it on tape after I saw him speak on Tuesday. Curious about his newer book - "That use to be us.."
