Review of Play Golf Better Faster: The Little Golf Bag Book
Play Golf Better Faster: The Little Golf Bag Book by Kalliope Barlis is the sequel to the first book on how to be better at golf using some tips. This book talks about how we can achieve what we want by using the brain and our thoughts, how one needs to visualize with our mind's eye the outcome we want and take time to think through before any shots. Imagine the outcome you want before taking the shot.
You also must practice, set goals for yourself before any practice, and outline ways to achieve these goals. Practice to learn, observe all your shots, and take into consideration what went wrong and what went right. While playing golf, you must envision the score you want and how you are going to get it, and learn to visualize where you want your ball to land while playing. The book was exceptionally well edited and error-free.
Barlis is an incredible writer with great storytelling abilities, which brings the book to life. Her ability to infuse into the book her own experiences as a golf player makes the book very relatable. This book is a lot simpler and easier to understand than the first book. Barlis took her time to explain her points in simple and easy ways. I loved the book because of the ease with which it was written; it avoided using golf terminologies that can be confusing for new golf players and shines light on the principles that should be concentrated on when developing your golf skills.
There was nothing to dislike about this book. If you are a first-time golf player, this book is not for you as it does not teach the basics like what golf is, how to start playing the game, and what to expect in the game. Apart from that, it's a wonderful book that you can pick up to refresh your memory on what to do to play better and how to use your imagination to boost your scores and play better.
I rated this book 5 out of 5 stars because it is an excellent guide for golfers interested in improving their skills in golf. The book involves the author’s personal experience, which I found to be well-written and helpful. The book talks about how it is important to set goals and follow the process with the aim of being a professional. The book was well edited and free from error, I must say it is a great read. I would recommend this book to golfers interested in improving their skills and to anyone who loves the game of golf.
